The Foundation Year is a preparatory course lasting 10 or 11 months addressed to foreign students interested in enrolling in a course of study at the University of Parma or another Italian university or at a music Conservatory or higher institution of music studies (ISSM).

The number of available places for the 2026/2027 academic year has been filled
New applications are placed on a waiting list, and we can only guarantee
the evaluation of the application and placement on the waiting list
Registration until 15 July 2026 for “Early Birds”
students, 15 August 2026 for “Regular” and “Dante”
students, and 30 September for students not
admitted to the degree course in Medicine and
Surgery after taking the admission test
